How To Go To EMS/CMEC Post Office in Pasay

Claiming a package from the Philippine Post Office is an ordinary part of the online shopping routine. Unless you use an expensive courier like FedEx, UPS and DHL, your airmailed package will most likely be forwarded to the EMS (Express Mail Service) sorting facility or CMEC (Central Mail Exchange Center). It is conveniently located near the airport in MIA road, Pasay City.

To let the recipient know that their package has arrived, the post office sends a notice card to the address indicated the package. Overseas mails, documents and some small parcels need not be picked up at EMS since these can be delivered by the postman.

The post office keeps packages for 60 days, I think.

DIRECTIONS TO GET TO EMS/CMEC PASAY:

1. FROM QUEZON CITY VIA EDSA MRT – Take a bus with signboard NAIA or MIA-Terminal 3. Get off at the foot bridge after passing PTT (gas station) and Park N Fly. Walk back to Park N’ Fly, turn right at Domestic/MIA Road. You should see the post office signage a few meters away.

2. FROM LAWTON, MANILA – Take an FX with signboard SUCAT and tell the driver you need to get off at Domestic Road. Climb the foot bridge to cross the road. Walk back to Park N’ Fly, turn right at Domestic/MIA road. You should see the post office signage a few meters away.

3. FROM MONUMENTO VIA LRT LINE 1 – Ride the LRT all the way to EDSA Pasay Station. Then, follow the directions in #1 above.

4. FROM SOUTH VIA LAS PINAS – Take a bus with signboard Lawton/LRT/Taft. Make sure that the bus will pass by Coastal Road and NOT South Expressway. Get off at NAIA Road cor. Roxas Boulevard. Take a jeep to Sucat. Get off at the foot bridge after passing PTT (gas station) and Park N Fly. Walk back to Park N’ Fly, turn right at Domestic/MIA Road. You should see the post office signage a few meters away.

5. FROM SOUTH VIA ALABANG – Take a bus to Sucat, Parañaque and get off at the toll exit. Walk towards West Service Road. From there, take a jeep to NAIA then get off at Domestic/MIA Road (corner of Park N’ Fly/PTT gas station). You should see the post office signage a few meters away.

HERE IS A MAP TO EMS/CMEC PASAY:

Make sure you bring the stuff needed to claim your package. It would be a hassle to have to go back again to claim it.

  6. Today i took a package there and it contains one coach bag. I paid 1,977 pesos. At first, they calculated the tax of almost 3,000 pesos but I have to beg and to bargain, see tax is negotiable in the Philippines!!! I was really shocked and felt like I committed a crime that I have to beg just to get something that is mine!!

  26. BOC has the worst service and worst when it comes to handling parcels/packages, mga buwaya kayo! Go to hell, all corrupt employees and working at BOC.

Pero until now wla parin update status. Ayaw nila ibigay number or email sa kuwait. Kasi sila n dw mag follow up.. Sayang ginagastos palpak at mabagal nmn aerbisyo.

  30. if you re lucky enough to have the package sent directly to your home without having to pay for taxes, but unfortunately no one is home when the mailman gets there, you will receive a claim voucher with instructions on how to claim your parcel. you either have to claim it from your local post office or, in a worst case scenario, get it from the pasay EMS office. good luck!

  42. I think the specifics about the charges and procedure of obtaining your imported stuff from CEMC already changed. Just went there last week and everything went smooth. I only have to pay 112Php for claiming my parcel and nothing else. I’m not sure how it would be the case if your imported stuff is a little different. It’s better you check your item from the tariff commission site just to make sure you know how much custom duty you might pay. I bet they revised and fixed everything since Duterte took seat. That’s great to know.

I have to say though, even though this kind of charges still applies today, it is basically one’s responsibility to arm themselves of knowledge. Keep asking someone who knows or how to approach this damned place. Sadly a lot of us are ignorant and does not know how to read or pay attention. Take for example these people posting sentiments on this blog, private blog. This is a private blog people, stop wasting your time posting pleas on this site to have your stuff checked. Know how to read please! This is the reason why most of us are easily scammed. Hate to be harsh but a bunch of us are plain stupid and lazy.
