Do you want to know what’s on sale at your favorite retail store before even going there? I do and I’m happy to find out that this great idea has been turned into reality.
Save22.com.ph is a site that provides “comprehensive pricing, promotions and sales information” on real life establishments in the metro.
Okay, before you say “not again”, first things first – Nope, this is not another one of those “deals” site, not an ecommerce site, not even a buy-and-sell classified ads site. It only contains useful information for consumers looking to go out and purchase something in the tangible world (mall/supermarket/that-talk-of-the-town-bakeshop).
Let me break down the benefits of using this site:
- Less time idling around the mall, looking for that good deal.
- Price comparison at your fingertips.
- Virtual window shopping.
- Even better, virtual mall hopping minus gas and parking fees!
Save22 is an online tool for offline shopping. According to this study, Filipino consumers tend to be Impulsive, Bargain Hunters, Brand-Loyal, Green-Minded and Shop-Less-More-Often. So, by doing pre-shopping research, one can be literally SAVEd from a lot of HASSLE.

With Save22, you can do your shopping research right in the comfort of your duster pajamas, barcalounger, bed hair, oily face (you get the drift) – online, like most other Pinoys (see infographic below).
Personally, I recommend it for the following reasons:

Browsing Save22’s site is easy. You can search for retailers by category, by ongoing promotions, by brand or by location. My favorite feature is the “Popular Promos” section – where I can easily browse ongoing promos across the category board!

I did a few test runs on Save22.com.ph myself and found out that many retailers are still missing from their catalogue — zero results for “Cotton On”, “Fujifilm”, “Dunkin Donuts” and “Puregold”, for example (knock, knock marketing team!). BUT this does not disappoint me at all, knowing that the site has only been recently launched. In just a few more weeks, this poster should be on your fridge door:
