Black Friday Deals For 2011

Consumer holiday alert: Black Friday Sale!

The day after thanksgiving in the US is known in the shopping calendar as Black Friday. It is the most awaited consumer holiday because of the staggering price reduction on goods, mostly electronic. This year, it falls on November 25, 2011.

Many new products are strategically launched on this day; I remember seeing people lined up at Best Buy as early as 4:00 AM just to get first dibs on the then PS3 (I was in the US during that time). Those wanting to save money on Christmas shopping even take a whole day off just to brave the crowd in bargain hunting.

A lot of opportunities await for early birds – those who come in really early, like 5:00 AM. The best Black Friday deals and maximum price drops are usually available in the morning only, while people are still in their pajamas.

Thankfully, even if we don’t celebrate Thanksgiving, we can somehow still be part of the Black Friday sale craze by shopping online. Outside of the US, eager shoppers wait till the clock strikes 12:00 Midnight (PST in the US) to scour for online deals.

Retailers often keep their Black Friday deals a secret until the day itself, so advertisement leakages are sought after. Wal-Mart and Best Buy are known to roll out online-only offers during this day. Other websites may also have similar promotions, so be sure to have your wish list ready.

This simultaneous online sale is only happening in the US, so just check on US-based websites for their Black Friday deals. If shipment to the Philippines is a problem, you can always look into package consolidation, to save on shipping. You can’t go wrong with a Visa or Mastercard credit card, for payment on US sites.

The great Black Friday sale only happens once a year, so take this opportunity to grab the best online deals, before time (or stocks) run out!
