The other day, I renewed juantobuy.com’s domain name in Name.com. Instead of paying $14.98 ($10.99 for the domain name + $3.99 for Whois privacy protection), I only paid $10.25 for the whole package. How did I do it? I used two coupons!
If you’re a Name.com customer, you already know that only one coupon can be entered in their checkout page. So how was I able to use two coupons for my renewal? It’s simple. All you have to do is renew each item separately.
How to do it:
1. Renew your Whois privacy first. Proceed to the checkout page and type the coupon code PRIVACYPLEASE. This changes your checkout total from $3.99 to $0.00 . Ta-dah! You pay nothing at checkout.
2. Next, renew your domain name as usual. No need to add Whois privacy anymore because you just got one for free. At the checkout page, type the month’s coupon code (Name.com gives this away for free). The coupon code for Sept 2012 is WINK.
That’s it! You just saved a total of $4.73! That’s about P200 when converted to Philippine Peso. Using two coupons is so easy!
